Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using The Engine Room (engineroomtraining.com) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to all visitors, gym owners, and anyone who submits content to the site.

What the site is

The Engine Room is an independent directory of HYROX simulation events, HYROX-affiliated training gyms, and official HYROX race information. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to HYROX GmbH or any of its subsidiaries. Use of the word "HYROX" on this site is descriptive and refers to the sport and its community. The Engine Room makes no claim of official partnership or authorisation.

Accuracy of listings

The Engine Room aggregates data from third party sources and user submissions. While we make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate and current, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any information on the site. Event dates, registration links, gym details, and pricing may change without notice. Users should verify all event and gym details directly with the hosting organisation before attending or making any purchase decisions.

User submissions

By submitting content to The Engine Room — including via the Submit a Sim form, Submit a Gym form, or any contact form — you grant The Engine Room a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to display, distribute, and use that content on the site and in related communications. You represent that you have the right to submit the information, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not infringe any third party rights. The Engine Room reserves the right to reject, edit, or remove any submission at its sole discretion without notice.

No liability for third party events

The Engine Room is a directory service only. We do not organise, operate, sponsor, or endorse any simulation event, training gym, or official race listed on the site. Any participation in a listed event is entirely at your own risk and your relationship is solely with the hosting gym or event organiser, not with The Engine Room. The Engine Room accepts no liability for event cancellations, injuries, losses, charges, or any other outcome arising from attendance at or registration for any listed event. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before attending any event.

Intellectual property

All original content on The Engine Room — including text, design, layout, code, and compiled directory data — is the property of The Engine Room and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not scrape, copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this site without prior written permission. Automated access to the site, including via bots, crawlers, or scraping tools, is prohibited except for search engine indexing conducted in accordance with our robots.txt file.

Gym owner representations

Gym owners and operators who submit a listing on The Engine Room represent and warrant that: the information submitted is accurate and current; they have the authority to submit information on behalf of the gym; the gym operates legally and in compliance with applicable laws; and they will notify The Engine Room of any material changes to their listing details. The Engine Room reserves the right to remove or suspend any listing where submitted information is found to be false, misleading, or in violation of these terms.

Prohibited uses

You may not use The Engine Room to:

• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the site by automated means
• Reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit any directory data without written permission
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent gym or event listings
• Impersonate any gym, person, or organisation
• Send spam or unsolicited communications using contact information found on the site
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the site

Termination

The Engine Room reserves the right to remove any listing, suspend access, or discontinue the site or any part of it at any time and without notice. Gym owners whose listings are removed for violation of these terms will be notified where reasonably practicable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States. Any disputes arising from use of this site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indiana.

Changes to terms

The Engine Room may update these Terms of Service at any time. The date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be noted on this page.
